Association of Flight Attendants-CWA

Important

Middle East Flying
Omni will be flying evacuees from a staging point outside of Afghanistan to the US. Because of the lack of Flight Attendants, the Company is seeking approval from the government to do these flights with less than the number of required Flight Attendants. As of the writing of this e-line, the minimum number of Flight Attendants on the flights may be as low as four, some of whom may be management Flight Attendants. Service on these flights will be limited. At this point, the company is not anticipating any flights to/from Afghanistan. Should that change, the Union and the Company will discuss any concerns we may have regarding those flights.

Short Staffed
Section 3.E.8. allows the Company to increase the pay of those assigned to a specific program, schedule, TDY or base location. The increase in the call out pay from $200 to $400 is permitted under that provision of our contract.

Health, Safety & Security Concerns
Please contact the Union if you have any health, safety or security concerns regarding the Middle East flying. Also, contact us if you encounter any problems or issues while on these flights. We can't address something that we don't know about.

Thank you and fly safe.

In Solidarity,
John Reise, Anita Trump, Debbie Parker
