Human Rights and Equity dates for SEPTEMBER 2022

 

September has a lot of important Human Rights and Equity. Below are just a few of the dates we wanted to draw some attention to.

• September 5 — Labor Day
• September 11 — National Day of Service
• September 15 — Hispanic Heritage Month

• September 16 — Mexican Independence Day

• September 23 — American Indian Day
• September 25-27 — Rosh Hashanah (Judaism)

In honor of Hispanic Heritage month which runs from 15SEP-15OCT, AFA International Committee on Human Rights and Equity has created a new diversity pin to acknowledge the history, culture, and contributions of Americans whose ancestry can be traced to over 20 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean. The AFA Latinx Heritage Pin will be available at all bases during this period. Please help AFA celebrate and raise awareness for our Latinx siblings.
