Hello Atlanta Flight Attendants!

 

This is a LONG update and I apologize for that but between flying and CQ, I haven’t had the time to send out multiple updates. Please read at your leisure and feel free to email me (respond to this email) if you have any questions, comments or concerns. 

 

LEC President Monthly Report for March 2025

• Met weekly with Atlanta Base Manager

• Participated in the MEC Meeting Zoom 

• Participated in the LEC Monthly Zoom

• Appointed the Education and Info Rep Chairperson

• Individually spoke with most of the Reps

• Reviewed all the AFA Board Of Directors Agenda Items

• I flew 4 Trips (2 Three Days & 2 Five Days) 

• I completed CQ (It was absolutely AMAZING this year!) 

Daily Activities 

(These are duties I tend to every day whether I’m on a trip, a union day or a day off)

• Read and Respond to Emails (Generally 100+ a day)

• Communicate throughout the day with LEC Vice President & LEC Secretary

 

Crew Room Update 

Our Crew Room got refreshed and we got brand new furniture. Now they are working on the electricity issue to install the new Coffee Maker and Beverage Machine. I also mentioned that we need places to charge our phones and was informed today that they're working on that next. 

 

Crew Food Update 

As everyone know, we have been fighting for new crew food for ages! I am so pleased that the fight is over! New Crew Food began April 1st (no foolin!!!)

 

The food options will be different every day of the week and the menus will be rotating frequently based on feedback from the crews. I am sure that we will need to tweak the quantifies so any issues, please email me. If you go into the crew room and there’s nothing left, please email the date AND time that there was nothing left. That will help me work with management to ensure that quantities are adjusted. 

 

Contract Negotiations Update 

I am sure everyone is thinking a lot about our upcoming Contact Negotiations which start late 2026 early 2027. I want you all to know that we are taking YOUR priorities seriously. In the coming weeks, I will be publishing my plan on how I expect to get direct feedback from you. 

 

Fatigue Call Reminder 

If you find yourself in a situation where you're thinking about calling in Fatigue but you have questions. Please reach out to us BEFORE calling Crew Services. If your fatigue is denied, it counts as a sick occurrence. Let us help you! 

 

Professional Standards Reminder 

If you're having an issue with a coworker that cannot be resolved, please contact AFA EAP & Professional Standards as opposed to reporting to Management. Our Reps are trained to handle these situations and are quite good at resolving them without the need to bring Management and an Investigation Meeting. Please reach out to us before going to management!

Upcoming AFA Board Of Directors Meeting & In Person MEC Meeting in Orlando

Social Media is buzzing with a lot of misinformation! No, there’s not going to be a 15% Dues increase. No, NONE of your LEC Officers support a dues increase. No, we do NOT support any type of dues increase and we will speak adamantly against it at the upcoming Board Of Directors meeting this weekend. That being said, I am meeting with the International Officers on Friday afternoon and I will ask the questions and get the information directly from them and post the accurate information. If you have any questions or concerns, NOW is the time to speak up and email them to me as soon as humanly possible! We will be broadcasting this meeting via zoom! So please register to participate!
